Our new library has been up and running for just over two years. We have approximately 10,000 books overall which include fiction and non-fiction genres for both the Pre-Prep and the Prep School. There are books appropriate for all levels of readers. We have Star Reads, published by Barrington Stoke, for those children with Dyslexia. There are poetry books, collections of short stories, myths, legends and fables to name a few! Years 7 and 8 can enjoy their own Young Adult section where books have been carefully selected for their interest levels and reading ability. For those chldren who prefer non-fiction we have a wide range of subjects and interests available as well as a children's newspaper and magazines such as Horrible Histories, Horrible Science and Junior National Geographic. Children can also enjoy listening to a range of audio books.
Our library is open every day and children can borrow up to two books at a time. We are lucky enough to have parent volunteers who help keep the library running smoothly during the week. In addition to this help, many of the children in Years 6,7 and 8 applied to be junior librarians and they help to keep the library tidy and well-organised
