This week and until 19th February, the children at Barfield will be jetting across Farnham, the British Isles or even the world as the biannual Readathon is launched. The children will be undertaking a sponsored read to raise money for a local charity 'Disability Challengers'. This year, however, there is a twist. The children can set themselves a challenge of reading to their chosen destination. How? I hear you cry! It's simple- pages have been converted into miles for the senior part of the school and books have been converted into local places for the Pre-Prep. The children can travel from Land's End to John O'Groats, around the world or they may simply choose to read to a destination which is personal to them.
