A rare day of warm sun shone brightly on our Old Barfeldian's Tea Party on Saturday afternoon.

Years 7 and 8 had the opportunity to meet Jeremy Hunt MP and ask him questions about being a Member of Parliament. 

It pays to be part of the Year 7 eco-conference at Barfield, not only did the sun shine for the first time in a month, but delegates also got to eat chocolate and bananas cooked on the open camp fire in the woods. But the eco-conference was carrying a serious message.

One of our lovely parents bought in his new babies to show our Reception Class today. A pair of very fluffy ducklings quacked about the Reception classroom allowing some very interesting observations and hands-on learning for all our Reception classes. Thank goodness we put the newspaper down first.

Barfield Senior Choirs and other local prep schools joined voices with Charterhouse Chamber Choir last week to perform Faure’s famous Requiem.

The first Mike Hawthorn Celebration Day proved a runaway success. Over 40 classic cars supported the event which was organised by Jonathan Sproule to raise money towards the Mike Hawthorn Sports Hall. It was a wonderful day out; the sun shone on the polished chrome and much fun was had by all.
